The history of the brand and its creator

Salt & Stone is a brand founded in 2017 by Nima Jalali in California. Nima is a professional snowboarder who has competed in sports all over the world. During her travels, the athlete has practised her sport in very different conditions. Sometimes with a lot of wind, snow or sun. She began to realise the impact of water, wind and sun on the condition of her skin and decided to find a solution to protect herself.

She could have turned to creating basic, chemical products, but in the course of her experiments Nima also realised that using natural products was essential if she wanted to be at her best. Accompanied by a group of surfing and snowboarding friends, Nima Jalali decided to create Salt & Stone.

The brand's primary objective was to create sun protection products tailored to the needs of top-level athletes. The brand quickly developed a sun cream capable of resisting water and protecting athletes for up to 80 minutes. Thanks to their mineral filter-based compositions, these products are also suitable for sensitive skin and expectant mothers.

Salt & Stone then extended its product range to include deodorants, lip balms, oils and moisturisers. The sun creams are also sold in stick form, which remain solid despite high temperatures.
